So I'm so sorry that I have not been updating this blog. We have so much fun with Christian and I've been selfish not sharing it with all of you. He is such a happy kid. I hear from everyone that is around him about how good he is, how well he listens, how he is a joy to be around. As much as I believe that and can't get enough of him, it is so nice to hear it from others. He has a great sense of humor. He loves to sing and listen to music. He loves animals and taking care of them, although sometimes he has a hard time showing it to Cowboy...his love is a little rough. He is so sweet and continues to tell us constantly that he loves us, every minute that he gets. He loves to snuggle at night, and I cherish the moments that I get to put him to bed and read him stories (Thanks to Aunt Penny's generous donation to the Christian library). And even cherish when 3 hours later he is crawling in bed next to me and continues to kick me all night long. He's the typical kid when it comes to eating...living on a diet of Chick Fil A, macaroni n cheese, hot dogs, alfredo pasta, and yogurt juice...with the exception of eating broccoli. So if any of you have suggestions on how to get him to eat more...I'm open to it. It's nice that with Kyle's schedule he is able to spend most of his days with Daddy. When Kyle can't watch him we are so lucky to have Aunt Penny and Aunt Pam as a willing volunteer and GaGa and GaGas close by to stay with. Alyssa is the best babysitter, since Dragon Boat season has started up again. He loves being outdoors. Riding his bike, his hummer, his scooter, jumping on the trampoline. He is so active!!
We are so fortunate to have Christian in our lives. I was watching MTV and they had a show on there True Life that was called "I placed my baby for adoption". It was in the view of the birth mother and it brought me to tears to even partially see a little bit of what Michael Anne might have gone through. To imagine the moments after the paperwork was signed and she went home to Michaela. She did what was in the best interest of Christian and that amazes me every day. She is a loving person, who would have done her best to raise him with the love that she could give, but wanted more for him out of life. Every day Kyle and I try to live up to that. To give Christian the best life he could have. To shower him with everlasting love that he can count on. To surround him with other people that will be a positive influence in his life. He is a gift. A special, chosen child. He was meant to be in our family and I'm so thankful for the love and support that we receive from our family when it comes to raising him. He has a bright future ahead of him. It seems to be going by so fast. I'll try to do better at updating this blog so it won't go by in a blur.
I love you all!!

No Training Wheels!!!
The newest thing is that Christian can now ride his bike without the training wheels. He is doing awesome. It took no time at all and he rides like we should have taken the wheels off months ago. He has a little hard time starting the ride, but once you get him balanced he is off! His favorite thing is to off road. Now we have a hard time getting him off of his bike. They say kids learn thier passion around age 4. Christian's may be biking!! :)

3 Fish
We took Christian to the Strawberry Festival and all he wanted was fish. So we played the fish game and ended up with 3 fish. Jose, Filipe and Nemo. Unfortunately Jose did not make it, but the other 2 are doing very well for the past 3 weeks. We are hopeful that they will be with us for awhile. When we were flushing Jose down, it was so cute. I said "Bye Jose" and Christian goes "Bye Jose. I love you!" How sweet that he loved that fish after 2 days? He's the best!

Monster Jam 2009
Monster Jam - Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL

We had a great time at the monster truck show. It was cold, but I came prepared with blankets. So we stayed toasty warm. Christian loved seeing them up close, but what we didn't come prepared for was ear plugs. It was loud. If we do it again, we will definitely bring some ear muffs for the poor baby.
Baseball game
Christian the Runner
Christian has competed in 2 races this year so far. He did a 1/2 mile race and about a 50 yard race. He loves to run, but I think he gets a little intimidated by the races. But we were really proud of him. He enjoys going to the races, but he gets a little nervous when it comes time to run. Kyle and I both love that he enjoys it. Obviously we love to race and run. I did a 10K the morning of his 1/2 miler. I actually placed, which I was very surprised by. It was fun.
Cool Day at the Park with Daddy
Aunt Karen and Uncle Matt's visit
Fun day with Uncle Johnny
Uncle Johnny let all of us go to the fire station and check stuff out. The kids got to explore the fire station, spray the hose, sit in the fire truck, and try on the fire hat. They all had a blast...so did the adults.

Christmas 2008
I can't seem to get the majority of my pictures from Christmas to download. Christian had a great Christmas though. He got a trampoline, one with a big net around it, so he loves that. He also of course got lots of monster trucks, books, a microphone, all sorts of things. Way more than he actually needed. He knew all about Santa this year and was definitely in the holiday spirit. He loved singing Jingle Bells and thought Feliz Navadad was the funniest song in the world. I'm now realizing why I need to blog as things happen, because I can't think of any funny stories to share and I'm sure he had some. Sorry.
We went to the park, where they had a snow machine (really it was bubbles) so the kids had fun playing in it. For those of you reading this up north...we waited in line for 45 minutes for the kids to play for 4 minutes in fake, bubbly snow. Sounds crazy huh? But Christian loved it. He was the last kid to leave. As you can see Madison wasn't too crazy about it.
Robinson Preserve with Daddy
Robinson Preserve is a great natural park in Bradenton. Aunt Penny likes to take the kids there quite a bit and Christian loves it. He can ride his bike or walk up to the tower. The tower is probably 3 or 4 stories tall that you can climb up to the top and then usually Penny has snacks for the kids. So they take a rest at the top and eat their snacks before it is time to head back. It's really quite beautiful and a lot of fun for them.
Riding his bike.

Cousins
Christian is a really good playmate. I love that about him. He loves playing with other kids and has no problem sharing, at least not much from what I have seen. He loves to play with his cousins. Here he is with Kalon riding scooters. I love it when he gets to play with his cousins Devon and Kalon. It's fun to watch little boys play together. Lots of laughing and running around like chickens with thier heads cut off. (Sad that us Veasey kids can say that we really know what that looks like...thanks to our life on the farm. Thanks Dad for that memory! Hahahahaha)

Halloween 2008
Halloween was so much fun this year. Christian, without any persuasion from Aunt Penny, wanted to be a dalmation puppy dog. We tried to find him a Stripes (Zebra) costume, but had no luck. So his second choice was the dalmation. I decorated the house that morning, but we had a lot of fun with the cobwebs and especially the "spooky" witch that cackled at anyone that came to the front door. I left a bowl of candy by the front door with a note that said "Take one please". I was assured by everyone that the bowl would be empty when we got home...and sure enough it was. We went trick or treating at Andrea and Herbie's like we have done every year for the past 3 years. So that was fun once again! He just gets funner and funner every year!
