Christian's 1st Race

Well...for those of you who have seen Christian run it is amazing. He is so fast and he loves it! Kyle decided to sign him up for the Gasparilla Children's Race. We talked to him about it for days and when the day came...he really was so excited. As we were driving there he kept saying to Aunt Penny "There's my race!" When we got there, we signed in and got his goody bag and T-shirt. The T-shirt was a little too big, so we decided it would be easier for him to run with his spiderman shirt on. He wasn't a big fan of the race number, but he allowed mama to put on his back. There were a lot of mascots there from around town...so he had fun talking to them and taking pictures with them. I think we got there a little too early. By the time they called for the 3 year olds to run he was really tired and leachy on to me...he may have been a little nervous too. We got to the starting line and they said on the mark, get set, go. He froze. I couldn't get him to run. I grabbed his hand and tried to drag him, but he would not budge. Then one of the men at the starting line grabbed his other hand and said "come on buddy...let's go!" Then he loved it. Just smiling as he ran. When we were through he said "I wanna do it again!" He got his medal, which he thought was pretty cool. We will definitely sign him up for another race...and encourage all of you to do the same with your kids. They are so much fun!!

Aunt Karen's Visit

Aunt Karen came to Florida with Devon and Lily. As Christian would say "I love him". He had so much fun playing with his cousin. We got to go to Disney World with MeMe and Aunt Penny. They got to ride the cars, see Mickey Mouse, go on the Dumbo ride...I really don't know what his favorite part was. Although I think it may be the happiest place on earth for the kids, most of the adults there were real grumpy. I got a little grumpy after I had to take Christian to the potty nearly every time we got to the front of the line...I'm not even kidding...every ride without fail!! Will go back when Christian can hold his pee. We also went to Home Depot to make things with them and Aunt Paulie and the boys. We look forward to visiting Tennessee in March.

Utah in January!!

Christian had a great time in Utah with his Daddy, Aunt Penny and Uncle Moe. Julia took real good care of them...as always. They went to Park City and took a ride on the alpine slide. Christian wasn't the biggest fan, but Daddy said that he liked it by the time he got to the bottom. He refused to go tubing, but everyone else went and had a good time. On the way back from Park City, Mikey took them down a back rode that had a ton of deer. Penny was in her glory...until she fell face first in the snow. All and all it was a lot of fun and a lot of snow!!!
